During their week long stay, I observed Judy doing many mundane chores in a fast, relaxed, and enjoyable manner. I wondered whether she was just predisposed to working in this en-lightened manner or whether she had developed this masterful approach along the way.

When I asked Judy about her way of working, she responded by saying the following: “It was not always this way.

By Al SecundaEarly on, I was very fearful and my thoughts reflected my fears. I had many judgments that took up a lot of time in my mind so there was no space for joy and celebration. I was resentful of the things I had to do on a day to day basis. So I went through the process kicking and screaming, and not enjoying my life at all. I had to do a lot of work on myself to change my way of thinking.

One thing that has helped me deal with life, in a more joyful way, is a process I call Creative Thinking. Creative Thinking helps me to clear my mind of fearful thoughts and judgments. When my mind becomes unemcumbered, there is more room for creative thoughts.

Specifically, here is how I use the process of Creative Thinking. I first visualize myself doing the things that I want and need to do. This might include: business projects, housework, cooking, artistic ventures, packing a suitcase, writing checks, etc. In my mind, I see it, feel it, smell it, taste it, and touch it. The more vibrant and focused I can make my mental experience the better. Because I already did it, in my mind, when it comes to actually doing it, I have less fear and resistance. The experience of actually performing the task, project, or assignment is therefore more fun.

The lesson is to love the process. That’s why everything I do looks so easy. Journeying into joy is the name of the game.” You can visit Judy Winchell on her web-site journeyintojoy.com for more insights and experiences into her world of consciousness.

The following is a column that my friend Al Secunda writes for the Happy Times, a monthly magazine that is distributed in Boca Raton and surrounding areas. A few months ago my friends Judy and Danny Winchell were visiting … Continue reading →

[1

post-103","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-musings
