Webster Definition: 1. something (as a person, condition, idea or act) with seemingly contradictory qualities or phases. 2. A statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true.
My Definition: two intrinsically juxtaposed ideas or beliefs which are simultaneously accepted as true.
And so it is with the human condition and the spiritual universe. They dwell side by side and much of the time people get confused by believing they must choose one over the other. They work together when they are both acknowledged and accepted as different information.
The human condition is fraught with judgements of all kinds. There’s right and wrong, good and bad and negative and positive. As humans we believe that one is better than the other so we‘ll spend a lifetime substituting whatever our mind tells us so we can feel better or worse, whichever the case may be. Also as humans our thoughts, beliefs, feelings, emotions, behavior and judgements control how we love ourselves and each other.
Spirituality based on universal law and not religion which is conceived by the mind of man, love is a state of being based on the experience of self worth with no attachments, reasons or excuses. It is a given and a choice. When there is no reason to love, it is a place to come from, deep in our souls only because we choose it.
So these opposing conditions of life exist simultaneously and when we accept both worlds and all that is part of them as true information we are living a paradoxical life in love without fear. And we are free to remain true to the human condition and judge everything by those standards and disregard the value of the idea that we are worthy and deserving of loving ourselves first or choose to accept that we can actually live life knowing that we are all humans who are free to rise above that which we were programmed to believe and accept it all as part of living a magnficently paradoxical magical life.
